York is twenty-five miles from our unit, and the A64 makes it one of the simplest journeys we have: out past Tadcaster, onto the A1(M) and the M1, then off at junction 45 for Cross Green. From Acomb, Clifton or Fulford it's about forty-five minutes, and Haxby a little more.
