Paint protection film, or PPF, is a clear, flexible film laid over a car's painted panels to stop stone chips, scratches, bird lime and road grime from ever reaching the paint. It's made from thermoplastic polyurethane, tough enough to take a stone at motorway speed and clear enough that you can't see it's there.
Its top coat is self-healing: light scratches and swirl marks close up on their own in the sun. It is also hydrophobic, so water beads and runs straight off and the car stays cleaner for longer. Underneath, the paint stays exactly as it was the day the film went on, which matters on a new car, a lease, or anything you plan to sell.
Most people protect the front end, where almost every chip lands. Stealth film does the same job with a satin finish, protecting the paint and changing the look of the car in one go.

Every price includes
Any stone chips already on the car are touched in before the film goes on. We price every car when we see it, so the number doesn't change on the day.
Where you drive decides how much film you need. For town driving and the odd motorway trip, a front end covers the bumper, the bonnet's leading edge and the mirrors, where most chips land. If you cover big motorway miles, a full front protects the whole bonnet and both wings with no film line across the bonnet.
Track days and fast country roads throw stones further back, so the track pack adds the sills, the pillars and the leading edge of the roof. And for a new car, a special car or a lease you want to hand back perfect, full car film covers every painted panel.
Every option comes in gloss, which is invisible, or stealth, which turns the paint satin. Not sure? Book a paint check and we'll look at the car together.

The car is washed, clayed and decontaminated, so no speck of grit is sealed under the film.
Any swirls or light marks are polished out now, because the film locks in whatever is underneath.
Each panel is covered in one piece where its shape allows, with the edges wrapped round out of sight.
Every edge is heated and pressed so it cannot lift, then the film is left to settle overnight.
Checked panel by panel under the lights, walked round with you, and handed over with the aftercare card.
A front end is done in a day; a full car takes three to five. We give you the dates with the quote.
04 / Questions
Not once it's on. Gloss film is optically clear and adds depth to the shine. Up close you may spot an edge in a deep recess, but from a metre away the car simply looks freshly polished.
Not the film we fit. Modern clear film has a UV-stable top coat and is warrantied against yellowing, cracking and peeling for ten years.
Light scratches and swirl marks in the film's top coat close up on their own with warmth, from the sun or a jug of warm water. Deep gouges won't, but the paint underneath is still protected.
Yes. It peels off cleanly from factory paint, even years later, and the paint underneath is as it was on the day it went on.
The same protection with a satin top coat. It turns gloss paint satin, and it's a popular way to change the look of a car while protecting it at the same time.
A front end takes a day, a full front two, and a full car three to five. We give you the dates with the quote.
